The Short Version
I'm Scott Farmer, a Licensed Master Cosmetologist in Georgia and Florida, and the founder of Hair Salon Pro. I've been in this industry since 1992, and I've done just about everything: booth renter, commission stylist, artistic director, salon owner, educator, and now business coach for salon professionals. I still run my own salon suite in Venice, Florida (scottfsalon.com) where I work with clients every week doing cuts, color, and balayage.
I built Hair Salon Pro because I kept seeing the same pattern: incredibly talented stylists who were struggling financially because nobody ever taught them the business side. Cosmetology school teaches you color theory and cutting technique, but it doesn't teach you how to read a P&L statement, price your services for profit, or build a client base that sustains a career.
The Full Story
Licensed as a cosmetologist and began working in salons across Georgia and Florida. Learned the craft from the ground up — shampooing, assisting, and eventually building a client book from scratch.
Earned the Toni & Guy Certified Artistic Director designation. Trained internationally in London, Tokyo, and New York under some of the industry's most respected educators.
Opened J SCOTT Salon and operated it for a decade. Learned every lesson about hiring, managing a team, controlling costs, and building a profitable salon business.
After 10 years of salon ownership, began focusing on education — running quarterly color seminars, precision cutting masterclasses, and one-on-one mentorship programs.
Awarded Gwinnett's Best Hairstylist — recognition of over 15,000 clients served and a reputation built on consistency, skill, and genuine care.
Launched Hair Salon Pro to bring 30+ years of hard-won business knowledge to salon owners and stylists everywhere. Currently operating Scott Farmer Hair Salon in Venice, Florida.
